Not sure how to prevent that from happening but I think as a rule of thumb whenever this happens again assume you just If you use any voice to text dictation make sure that you are not accidentally changing the shortcut keys while speaking. roaming and the amount of space you have available in your signature has nothing to do with if, the spellchecker works a not.
Your dictionaries are stored in local settings I have several signatures some with space and some without. I did not really understand the entry above re "space and signature". I hope this helps you guys if the above does not. So when Outlook couldn’t find a working copy of Word application, it greys out these features. The features like Spelling Check and AutoCorrect in Outlook are integrated tightly with the same version of Word. Reset shortcut keys when changes are made. Turned out, that’s because I have a mixed Microsoft Office versions installed, running Outlook 2010 alone while Word is still on 2007. I believe “Office repair” only checks files and does NOT This might be the reason why repairing office does not do anything. I noticed that once I switch libraries the spellchecker immediately stops underlining words and F7 also does not work as expected. In my opinion there should be a confirmation pop-upĪsking you if you want to switch languages. There’s a short pop up on the right side of the screen and unless you’re paying close attention, it’s very easy to not notice. When you do you actually switch your libraries without any confirmation. When you type fast it’s very possible to hit an accidental shortcut key “WinKey + Space”. I make use of bilingual libraries in office and sometimes Nothing worked for me either and then I realized something extremely simple that might’ve been overlooked by other users as well. I have been dealing with this super annoying issue on and off myself.
Word is a default install with Office 2015 as you know, so why would the person above not have it installed it? (scroll up before posting entries) Your assumption is way out of line. If nothing found, it then disables all Word-depended features like Spelling Check. When my Outlook 2010 launches, it looks for the Word executable file WinWord.exe in the same directory. For example, my Office 2007 is installed in Office12 folder while my Outlook 2010 is installed in Office14 folder, both under Microsoft Office folder. Turned out, that’s because I have a mixed Microsoft Office versions installed, running Outlook 2010 alone while Word is still on 2007. Only the basic ones, like Always checks spelling before sending, are still available. My Outlook 2010’s Spelling Check Options (called Proofing in Outlook 2010), as well as AutoCorrect Options were all greyed out, so I don’t get the usual correct as you type feature as I usually get on my other computers.
